Puppy Grooming

Introducing your puppy to grooming from an early age is one of the best ways to set them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooms. At Kerry’s Canines, I offer gentle, one-hour puppy grooming introductions for puppies aged 12 weeks to 6 months. These sessions are designed to be a positive experience, helping your puppy build confidence in the grooming process at their own pace.

What's Included?

Each session is tailored to your puppy’s individual needs and comfort level. A puppy groom may include:

A gentle bath with mild, puppy-safe shampoo
A careful dry and brush to get them used to the process
A gradual introduction to nail trimming to help desensitise them

Owner Support & Advice

During your puppy’s introduction to grooming, I’ll also offer guidance on coat care at home, helping you keep on top of brushing and maintenance between grooms. This is especially important for breeds with high-maintenance coats to prevent matting and discomfort.

Why Start Early?

The earlier your puppy becomes familiar with grooming, the more comfortable they will be with it as they grow. Regular grooming is essential for their health, helping to keep their skin, coat, and nails in great condition.

How many puppy grooms do I need?

Some puppies may need a course of sessions to gain confidence before moving on to a full groom, while others may only need one.
The most important part of the sessions is ensuring your puppy feels safe and relaxed to make sure grooming is a positive experience for them.
